Roles: Volunteer Designer, Developer
Summary: As a UPE member, I attended a board meeting and found out they needed a new website. I volunteered and later got elected as Technical Chair. I gathered the requirements and designed a fresh wordpress site. For the banner, I included the UPE logo and kept the organization’s original type while adding DePaul’s identity with simple text using Axure RP. I chose the theme and colors, so the site reflects an honor society feel to it. I added plug-ins to show items such as events and pictures, and to better organize details by adding design patterns such as accordion and progressive disclosure. I made a training guide for the next person to maintain the website.
